1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and embedded third-party media. They can be necessary for operating a website or optional for convenience, analytics, marketing or media display.
2. Legal Basis
Technologies that are strictly necessary for delivering the website are used under Sec. 25(2) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Optional technologies are used only after consent under Sec. 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
3. Technologies Currently Used
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Security, session handling, form protection, admin login where applicable, remembering consent choices | PHP/ThinkPHP session cookie, form token, malex_cookie_consent_v1 in local storage | Session to 6 months depending on purpose |
| External media | Loading embedded videos or other third-party media selected by the website operator | Third-party iframe/video requests after consent | Set by the selected third-party provider after activation |
No public analytics, advertising tracker, Matomo, Google Analytics or Meta Pixel was found in the recovered frontend. If such tools are added later, this policy and the consent banner must be updated before activation.
4. Consent and Withdrawal
On your first visit, the banner lets you accept all optional technologies, reject non-essential technologies, or customize your choice. You can change or withdraw consent at any time through the "Manage Cookies" link in the footer. Withdrawal applies only for the future.
5. Browser Controls
You can delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Some website functions may then no longer work correctly.
